Menus we serve
Seven sample menu families, from meal boxes and thalis to buffet packages and festive spreads, give you a ready brief. Pick one, adjust it, and KhanePe returns three vendor quotes built on the same structure.
Which menus can you choose from?
KhanePe offers seven sample menu families: meal boxes, snack and high-tea boxes, breakfast menus, thali menus, buffet packages, daily office meal plans and festive menus. Each page lists sample sets with dishes, Jain and Swaminarayan versions, and answers to common questions on pricing and minimum orders.
- Meal boxesA meal box is a sealed, single-serving box holding a complete meal, delivered ready to eat.
- Snack and high-tea boxesA snack box is a small packed selection of two to four snacks, usually with a beverage, for tea breaks and short events.
- Breakfast menusBreakfast catering supplies a morning meal, packed or as a small buffet, before or at the start of an event.
- Thali menusA thali is a fixed set meal served on one plate, with a dal, sabzis, bread, rice, sides and a sweet.
- Buffet packagesA buffet package fixes how many dishes each course has; the vendor then fills it with dishes from your chosen cuisines.
- Daily office meal plansA daily meal plan is a regular contract for weekday meals on a rotating menu at an agreed price per meal.
- Festive menusA festive menu is built around the dishes associated with a festival, served at celebrations for offices, societies and families.
How do you pick the right menu?
Match the menu to the occasion and the time people have to eat. Short breaks suit snack or meal boxes, daily staff meals suit thalis and office meal plans, and celebrations suit buffet packages or festive menus. Each sample menu is a starting point you can change on the Inquire page.
| Occasion | Suggested menu |
|---|---|
| Meeting or training lunch | Meal boxes or a Classic buffet |
| Tea break or client visit | Snack and high-tea boxes |
| Early start or travel day | Breakfast menus |
| Factory or office, every day | Thali menus or daily office meal plans |
| Party or office celebration | Signature or Grand buffet packages |
| Navratri, Diwali, Uttarayan | Festive menus |
Frequently asked questions
Are KhanePe menus fixed?
No. The menus on this site are samples that show typical structures and dishes. You can use one as it is, change dishes, or build your own on the Inquire page. Vendors then quote their version, and the final menu is written into the order you confirm.
How much does catering cost per plate in Ahmedabad?
Per-plate prices depend on the menu, number of dishes, cuisines, live counters, guest count and service level. KhanePe’s three quotes show each vendor’s price and what it includes, so you can see the difference clearly. Ask for a per-plate breakdown if two quotes look far apart.
Do menus include Jain and Swaminarayan options?
Yes. Every menu family has Jain and Swaminarayan versions, prepared without onion and garlic, and Jain versions also without root vegetables. Share the number of guests who need them in your inquiry so vendors plan separate counters or labelled boxes.
What is the minimum order for a menu?
Minimum orders vary by vendor and format: meal boxes, thalis and buffets each have their own. KhanePe shows the minimum with every quote. If your group is small, mention it in the inquiry so only vendors who can serve that size quote.
