What should you know before booking with KhanePe?

Four things matter most. Book at least a week ahead. Expect a call, then the best three vendor quotes to compare. Pay in three parts: 25%, 50% and 25%. And share dietary needs such as Jain or Swaminarayan at the start, so every quote already includes them.

How do I book catering with KhanePe?

Fill out the Inquire page at least one week before your event, or call the team. KhanePe calls you to understand the requirement, shares it with pre-vetted vendors, and forwards the best three quotes. You confirm one by paying 25%, and the team manages the order until the event.

What is the minimum notice for a booking?

One week. KhanePe needs that window to call you, brief vendors, compare their quotes and give you time to choose. For festivals and large events, two to four weeks gives a wider choice, because vendors book up first on popular dates such as Navratri and Diwali.

Why does KhanePe send three quotes?

Three quotes give you a real choice without overwhelming you. The team compares all vendor responses on menu fit, price, hygiene credentials, capacity and past feedback, and forwards the best three in the same structure, so you can compare menus, inclusions and prices directly.

How are payments structured?

You pay 25% of the chosen quote to confirm the vendor, 50% after the team reaffirms preparations three days before the event, when time, venue and serving are mapped, and the final 25% to complete the order. The invoice is handed over on the event day after feedback is collected.

Do I get an invoice?

Yes. An invoice is handed over on the event day as part of every KhanePe order, after feedback is collected. Share your company name and billing details in the requirement call if you need them on the invoice, so the final document matches your accounts from the start.

What is KhanePe’s cancellation policy?

KhanePe bookings cannot be cancelled once confirmed. A booking is confirmed when you accept one of the three quotes and pay 25% of its amount, and from then the vendor reserves the date, staff and supplies for your event. Changes to headcount, menu or timing can be shared until the reconfirmation three days before the event.

Can KhanePe arrange Jain and Swaminarayan food?

Yes. Jain food without onion, garlic and root vegetables, and Swaminarayan food without onion and garlic, are standard requests in Ahmedabad. Vendors cook them separately and serve them from a labelled counter or in labelled boxes. Share the number of guests who need each in your inquiry.

Which certifications do KhanePe vendors hold?

Vendors are vetted for, or hold, one or more of: an FSSAI licence, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and GHP practices, and FoSTaC training. Each shortlisted quote states that vendor’s certifications, so food safety becomes part of how you compare the three options.

How many cuisines can I choose from?

KhanePe covers 45 cuisines and formats, from Gujarati, Kathiawadi, Punjabi and South Indian to Italian, Chinese, Thai and Mexican, plus live counters, Jain, Swaminarayan, vegan and keto options, breakfasts, bakery and desserts. You can mix several cuisines in one brief.

Which areas does KhanePe cover?

KhanePe covers 130 localities across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, including all 30 Gandhinagar sectors, plus 11 cities and towns nearby: GIFT City, Sanand, Changodar, Moraiya, Bavla, Kalol, Kadi, Dholera, Vithalapur, Dahej and Gandhinagar itself. Each locality’s PIN code is listed on the areas page.

Can KhanePe cater factories in GIDC estates?

Yes. Industrial catering for factories in GIDC estates such as Naroda, Odhav, Vatva, Kathwada, Sanand, Kalol and Chhatral is a core KhanePe service: shift meals, canteen supply and plant events, quoted shift by shift from vendors vetted for food safety.
